Meet the baker!

Hi there! I'm Asnah!

I‘ve been baking ever since I was a kid, and I’ve always loved it!

Pretti Baked started off one day in 2017, when I was bored out of my mind in Sri Lanka and I really, really wanted to bake but not just for myself. I had been thinking about making a business out of baking but I was honestly not super sure. Thankfully, my husband convinced me to take the plunge and help me set up Pretti Baked!

I loveeeeee cake in general but I often couldn’t find cakes that were perfectly balanced in sweetness and flavour. After loads of experimenting, I started to specialise in modern buttercream cakes (no fondant over here!).

Pretti Baked has been shuffling between Hong Kong and Singapore since 2019 and although that can be exhausting, it was also pretti sweet. It was in Singapore that I decided to take the plunge on Pretti Baked being my full time job! It was pretty anxiety inducing but it was such a pleasure to be a part of so many special occasions! From birthdays to weddings to festivals- Pretti Baked always had a spot on the table!

We are officially back to Hong Kong again (hopefully for longer this time). And although Pretti Baked is no longer my full time, its still very much a big part of my life!

I hope to hear from you very soon and I look forward to making your life a tad bit sweeter!

TESTIMONIALS

"Pretti Baked created the cake of our dreams for our wedding day! Each layer was a different flavor- red velvet (my all time favorite, and hers is the greatest ever!) as the base, a vanilla mid tier and a chocolate tier on top.

Months after the wedding, the cake is still a hot topic of discussion amongst our family and friends. It disappeared in minutes but luckily we managed ti bag some red velvet which was savored for days after.

Best part, she is the most thoughtful and professional baker!'
